Change up taco night with this delicious fish taco and mango salsa recipe

If you’re sick of cooking the same, old boring tacos every time family taco night rolls around, our friends over at L’Ecole Culinaire culinary school shared an amazing fish taco recipe with us!

Not only will your family love this change-up from the norm, but this recipe is super simple to make!  We’ve listed all of the ingredients you’ll need below, and we’ve even included instructions and ingredients for a delicious mango salsa that will give a sweet and spicy finish to your fish tacos!

Basa Catfish Recipe

  • 1/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 (6 ounce) Basa Catfish fillets
  • Flour tortillas or taco shells

Mango Salsa Recipe

  • 1 large ripe mango, peeled, pitted and diced
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, diced
  • 2 tablespoons minced red onion
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • salt and pepper to taste

Mango Salsa Directions

  1. Combine the mango, red bell pepper, red onion, cilantro, and jalapeno pepper in a bowl.
  2. Add the lime juice and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and toss well.
  3. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  4. Refrigerate until ready to serve

For the Fish

  1. Sauté your Basa Catfish and minced garlic in an oiled skillet for 3-4 minutes.
  2. Place into taco shell or tortilla and assemble!
