School’s almost out for summer! Our friends at Babalu demonstrate how kids can help prepare dinner during the summer months by making 2-3 kid-friendly tacos.
Tacos are a great way to get your kid to try food they might “think” they don’t like. If your kid is less than excited to eat fish, veggies etc., try it on a taco! Being able to wrap them in a warm tortilla and pile on yummy toppings is a game-changer. And, involving your kid in the process might encourage them to have a more adventurous palate. If your worried about having time between shuffling your kids to school, soccer practice, or anywhere else, all the ingredients in these tacos can be chopped and/or prepared beforehand. Plus, if your child is set on being picky, these ingredients can easily be cut back or omitted at your preference, and the tacos will still taste amazing.
Roasted Chicken Tacos
These tacos feature seasoned chicken, fire-roasted corn, cotija, tomatoes and cumin lime aioli.
Baja Fish Tacos
These tacos feature blackened or fried fish, comeback sauce, radish and cilantro slaw.
Your kids are sure to love these dessert tacos. All you’ll need is nutella, strawberries and powdered sugar.
