How to make a healthy meal replacement shake

It's hard to be healthy when you're always on the go, but this healthy meal replacement shake recipe can help!

Here’s what you’ll need to make your own healthy meal replacement shake at home. This is a great alternative to skipping your breakfast, and will give you plenty of long-lasting energy. It will also hopefully keep you full throughout the morning or afternoon, and way from that vending machine in between your meals!

  • 1/4 a cup to 1 cup of Plain oats (depending on your needs)
  • 1 cup of lightly-salted or unsalted almonds (1 cup is exactly 28 almonds!)
  • fruit
  • protein powder

The first thing you’ll want to do is grind your oats and almonds into a powder. This will help them blend better with the other ingredients.

Next, add your fruit and protein powder. I used a combination that I’ve always enjoyed — a banana and chocolate-flavored protein.

Finally, add 12-16 ounces of water, depending on how thick you want your shake.

Blend, and enjoy!

This shake that I’ve made in the video is around 720 calories, so adjust the ingredients to your needs.

You can use different combinations of fruit and protein powder to find a shake you can really enjoy.
