Tis the season for jolly happy souls, Snowman Cookies are a common Christmas treat. Here’s a recipe for you and your family to enjoy this holiday season.
- 1 tube (16 1/2 ounces) refrigerated sugar cookie dough
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 can (16 ounces) vanilla frosting
- Food coloring of your choice
The typical prep time is generally 35 minutes, but times can vary.
Combine cookie dough with flour in a small bowl. Then, allow 5 to 10 minutes for cookies to soften.
Using a lightly floured surface, cut out two circles from the rolled out cookie dough with a cookie cutter. Repeat these steps with a 3-1/2 in and 3 inch round cookie cutters.
Now, draw a top hat and a pipe on wax paper, 3-1/2 in wide x 2-1/2 in. tall. Proceed to re-roll leftover dough, and continue by cutting out two hats and two pipes.
Once your done with cutting, put the cookie dough on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 to 11 minutes or until contents are lightly browned.
Add some frosting as you please over cookie pieces. Serve the Snowman Cookies. To preserve the treat, put it in a airtight container.
