Binge-worthy shows: Not limited to Netflix and Hulu
When it comes to streaming shows, most people think of Netflix or Hulu. I feel like Amazon Prime gets looked over, but it shouldn’t! There are some great shows, including a bunch of original series, that you can watch if you have a Prime subscription.
While you’ll find that they do have some of the same content as Netflix and Hulu, I’m going to give you 5 binge-worthy shows that you can find on Amazon Prime that you can’t get on those two platforms. A few of them are Amazon Originals, however, I’m going to throw two older shows in there that you need to watch if you’ve never seen! After all, you’re gonna need something else to watch once you finish Tiger King. (Side note: If you haven’t seen that, stop what you’re doing and at least watch the first episode.)
Disclaimer: Strong Language in these shows, and in some of the trailers!
About the Show: Inspired by true events, HUNTERS follows a diverse band of Nazi Hunters in 1977 New York City who discover that hundreds of escaped Nazis are living in America. And so, they do what any bad-ass vigilante squad would do: they set out on a bloody quest for revenge and justice. But they soon discover a far-reaching conspiracy and must race against time to thwart the Nazis’ new genocidal plans.
About the Show: From the creator of Justified and Executive Producer Bryan Cranston comes an exciting new series about a con-man, Marius (Giovanni Ribisi), on the run from a vicious gangster. Marius hides by assuming the identity of his prison cellmate, Pete, and takes cover with Pete’s estranged family – a colorful group (headed by Margo Martindale) with well-guarded and dangerous secrets of their own.
About the Show: Once a powerful lawyer, Billy McBride is now burned out and washed up, spending more time in a bar than a courtroom. When he reluctantly agrees to pursue a wrongful death lawsuit against the biggest client of the massive law firm he helped create, Billy and his ragtag team uncover a vast and deadly conspiracy, pitting them all in a life or death trial against the ultimate Goliath.
Now, for two binge-worthy shows that are considered to be two of the greatest shows in television history….
About the Show: Hailed as one of television’s essential dramas, The Sopranos follows James Gandolfini as Tony Soprano: husband, father and mob boss whose professional and private strains land him in the office of his therapist.
About the Show: In the drug-ridden streets of West Baltimore, there are good guys and there are bad guys. Sometimes you need more than a badge to tell them apart. Enter a world where easy distinctions between good and evil, and crime and punishment, are challenged at every turn.
(Personal note: this is my favorite show ever. Period. I can’t recommend this enough.)
